Christmas St Andrew’s Fair and Community Market

Get in the mood for Christmas with two of our most loved festive events!

St Andrew’s Fair. Saturday 1st December 2018

The annual Christmas Bazaar will be held on Saturday 1st December 2018. All the shops and restaurants take part in this event and Dornoch has a real Christmas buzz. The Christmas lights go on for the first time, Santa is in his grotto and there are craft stalls to complement the local shops for those special Christmas gifts.
The Social Club on School Hill hosts the fair from 10am – 4 pm with craft stalls full of Christmas gifts for all the family. Bacon rolls, home baking, tea, coffee and home made soup are available all day. Santa arrives at 1pm and is in his grotto until 3pm.
Throughout the town you can buy raffle tickets to have a chance of winning a Christmas Hamper (with goods donated by local businesses). Shops will have special offers and tastings, seasonal food and drink to get you in the festive spirit. Then if you didn’t think we could get anymore Christmassy, there is a Carol Service in the Cathedral at 3:30pm followed by mulled wine and mince pies!!

Christmas Community Market. Tuesday 18th December

Throughout the summer our community markets delight visitors with their wonderful friendly buzz and their fantastic range of stalls. Our Christmas version brings all that and more (albeit under cover in the Social Club (it is December in Scotland afterall!) Join us at this popular event and stock up on tasty treats for the festive period and those all important last minute gifts!

The doors open at 9:30 am and the market runs until 1:30 pm. Don’t miss your favourite stalls including arts & crafts, produce, baking, cheese, organic pork and fresh fish.

The community cafe will be open for tea & coffee, so make a morning of it come and do some Christmas food and present shopping in comfort and support local producers from across the Northern Highlands.
