New Visitor Centre opens

Phase 1 of the new Carnegie Courthouse was unveiled this week, with the opening of the new Visitor Centre, where helpful staff are on hand to welcome guests and answer queries.

With a full wall of the view from the Dornoch bridge looking towards Bonar and four large canvas prints of the Golf Course, the Cathedral, the Beach and nearly Dunrobin Castle, visitors have an immediate feel for what the area has to offer. An area is devoted to the North Coast 500 route which is the Scottish Highlands’ equivalent of Route 66.

Meanwhile work is proceeding on the rest of the Courthouse which includes the Carnegie Whisky Cellars with unique tasting room in the original vaulted ceiling record room, the Carnegie Tea Room and Deli situated in the old Court Room and overlooking Dornoch Square and treatment rooms for Aspen Spa, where luxurious relaxation in assured.
