We have already had a taste of summer weather, so let’s hope there is plenty more to come!
The longer evenings are with us, and summer is heralded by the first of the weekly Pipe Band Parades in the Square on Saturday 26th May – followed by a Highland dancing display.
The Cathedral is hosting a range of musical events in June from local group Gizzen Briggs to Mahler Players’ and the Midland Odessa Choir.
Every Tuesday at 2pm in July & August, Historylinks Museum is leading a guided walk around the town – included in your 7-day entry ticket. The Carnegie Whisky Cellars is running Whisky or Gin Chocolate Pairings every Friday at 1pm and 3pm. Coast Candle Co. run a drop-in workshop every Friday 10:30 – 3pm. The Pipe Band plays on Saturday nights at 8pm in the Square
School holidays are upon us in July and that means our major events are not far away – the Sutherland Show on 21st July, Donegal 2 Dornoch on 28th July, the Highland Gathering on 3rd August followed by Festival Week – with fun for all the family.
There are community markets – on 27th June, 11th and 25th July
